When I open with START and want to use the RUN program, it isnt there. I have
tried to use System Restore and it takes me back as it should and I have
used different Points and it performs correctly but there isn't a RUN program
on any of the dates I chose. Ihave no recollection of the last time that Run
was used and using SEARCH was waste of time - too many items with run in it -
thie ole boy could sure some assistance - poppajaq

Try;

TaskBar|Properties|Start Menu|Customize|Advanced and check the box for 'Run
command'

Hi Eddy,

If using XP Start Menu:
Right-click by Username at top of Start menu, then select Properties. Click
on the Customize button then the Advanced tab. In the Start menu items field,
scroll to locate "Run command" and ensure that it is selected (checked), then
click on OK, Apply, OK

If using Classic Start Menu:
Go to Start>Settings>Taskbar and Start Menu. Click on the Start Menu tab
then click on the Customize button. In the Advanced Start menu options field,
scroll to locate "Display Run" and ensure that it is selected (checked).
Click on OK, Apply, OK.

Regards,

Two very GOOD and prompt answers -Patti's came thru first and it satisfied
the problem with first attempt. I'm indebted to both Patti and Dave as they
both were right on - love to both poppajaq

Hii, nothin to worry, just press windows button + R this will open run box
now type gpedit.msc this will open Group Policy tab. select Administrative
Templates > Start Menu & Taskbar:

You will now notice many options appear on the right of ur pane scroll down
to Remove Run from the Start menu : Double click : Select Disabled!
