Within Word 2003, I am trying to create an interactive template, where the
user is prompted to input information, e.g. address, telephone number, etc.
Can anyone suggest where I might turn for basic instructions. I can't seem
to find the basics within Word's Help and Microsoft's Office Assistant.

Hi Terry,

See the article “How to create a Userform” at:

You can do this several ways including the most flexible and powerful way, a
userform. Also look at Fill-In and Ask fields, you can find a short tutorial
on these at http://addbalance.com/word/download.htm. You may also want to
look into what Word calls an "online form." Check this in help. For more
about online forms, follow the links at
http://addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Forms or
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/FillinTheBlanks.htm especially Dian
Chapman's series of articles. These methods require no or less vba
programming ability than does a userform.

Hope this helps,
