Hi there,
I have been invaded with spyware, and I just want to wipe out th
entire hard drive and start over, I have my store bought copy o
windows XP, I am also connected to the internet via wireless networkin
in my home, this computer is not the host. My concern afte
reinstalling XP is that I will not know how to reconfigure my Linksy
wireless network. I know I have asked a lot of questions and probabl
need to do one thing at a time. I would GREATLTY appreciate it

Use the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard to save your settings to a file
on your other computer and then transfer the file back after your
reinstallation of Windows and run the FAST wizard again. I don't think you
will have to reconfigure your wireless network since those settings are
saved in the Linksys router already. All you will need to do is let your
system connect to it. Once you have SP2 reinstalled you should see a
balloon over the TaskBar informing you that a wireless network has been
detected and offering you the opportunity to connect.

I don't know if it's possible to just transfer settings, but if possibl
just do that. If I were in your shoes however, I would either try t
fix it as it is, or do a complete reinstall (don't use files an
settings wizard).

Don't worry about wiping the drive.. all you need to do is install
fresh copy of xp/sp2
