And what to do to get it fixed Please.
thanks

Hi Nancy,

Try reinstalling System Restore. Go to the Control Panel/Folder Options/View
tab, set it to "Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected
operating system files [recommended]". Also uncheck "Hide extensions for
known file types".

Then, open Windows Explorer from Start/All Programs and go to the
C:\Windows\Inf folder. Locate the sr.inf file, right-click it and choose
install.

You may need to either insert your WinXP CD or know where your I386 folder
is located on the hard drive. You may also need to know where the
\ServicePackFiles folder is (usually under the Windows directory).

Hi Nancy,

First, try what Ramesh has mentioned. If it doesn't help (you are clean),
then clear the System Volume Information folder after disabling System
Restore.

Make sure the Control Panel/Folder Options/View tab, is set to "Show hidden
files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files
[recommended]". Also uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types".

Start/run services.msc, locate the System Restore service and doubleclick
it. Click the stop button, then set the startup type dropdown to disabled.
Click apply/ok, then reboot.

Then, check the "System Volume Information folder" on each drive and delete
it and any contents. You may need to "take ownership" if you get any "access
denied" errors (please ask for instructions if you do).

Reverse the initial steps to restart it.

I found The System Volum Hiden Folder ,, It Includes something strange Called : Shockwave updates Application/Progra
Every time I deleted it, It Comes back again the(Shockwave updates Application/Program) I mean.
Well this Time I did All Kind Of Cleaning,, Temp and folders, Disk clean Up, Registry Clean Up,Spybot clean u
Then After I Stoped & disabled System Restore service and I deleted the Hiden file: System Volume.
Then when I restarted the system , a new Hiden Systeme volume folder on hard drive was created but this time it didn't has that shockwave thing .It only includes the Catalog files.. then after restarted again and I Enabled the System Restore Service An a system Restore Point was created in the System Volume Folder and that also didnt have the shock wave exe-update Application/program like before .
Then I went and I registered these dlls in system 32
urlmon.dl
Shdocvw.dll
Msjava.dll
Actxprxy.dll
Oleaut32.dll
Mshtml.dll
Browseui.dll
Shell32.dll
then restarted again and hit the System Restore .. and Voila It opened up.. I craeted a good system Restore Point then I restore My system .. and .. It did Restore the System.. Coo
But The only thing I lost in this process was this
When I start The System/Windows, and when the Windows Xp Pro Welcome Page Opens with the User Account Names One Item/option is not There on the welcome screen page Nomore which is : TUrn off Computer..
Strange .. I like That option so it can be used when You start Windows and You decide To Shut it off at that moment without opening your User Account page which takes for ever.
Well Anyway Thanks muc

Nancy,

Set the shutdownwithoutlogon to 1 in the following registry key:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system]

Given as REG script below:

---------Copy from next line--------
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system]
"shutdownwithoutlogon"=dword:00000001

--------Till previous line--------

Save the above lines to a REG file using notepad. Beware of double-extensions; use quotes for the filenames ("filename.reg")
