I am running a 1.2gh AMD with 120GB Hard Drive, 768k DDR
Ram with windows 2000. The problem is that when I go to
install SP4 the setup window opens and since I am
installing from the Microsoft disc, I select the disc
setup. The disc starts to load and all I see is a very
quick flash of the install window, then is disappears and
the cdrom continues to run but nothing happens. The cd
then stops and appears to be waiting for some command but
it doesn't happen. I have checked the Event Log and it
shows "Error", "time of event" and Source "cdrom" but I am
NOT getting an error message during the SP4 Install. I
have also tried down loading the SP4 setup from the
Microsoft web site (124 min is along time) just to have it
fail to install. Hope this helps to give me the correct
answer needed to resolve this problem
