Hello
I have winxp home and for some reason I am unable to get to volume
control, u know where you are able to adjust sliders/mixers etc. I
have the speaker icon on my task bar as always, when i left click it
the volume slider pops up as it should and i can adjust level of sound,
however when I right click speaker icon/ open volume control, it wont
open, all it does is go onto the task bar, once its there when i double
click, as in to open it, the only options there is minimize and close,
the restore/maximize/size is greyed out, so i am unable to get to it.
I have done a search, I have also looked in system 32 folder, the same
icon is there (slider one) when i click there the same thing happens.
On sounds and audio devices properties, volume, when i click on
advance, the same thing happens. I am at a lost as to what to so. I
went to my other pc and have copied a file named SndDrv32b, i found
this in system32 files, can i use this file to, I dont know, fix my
audio control on my laptop.
Hoping you can help me as Im at a total loss now :+(
Thanks Tricia
