help with SimCity4

i know it's an old game already but just wanted to play it again.

im having a problem with the game installation.i get an error that its unable to copy simcity_5.dat so i retry and retry then finally i ignored it and it installed the game.

but when i play it all the houses just looks like blocks of red,green and blue and the roads don't show.now i tried to manually copy the simcity_5.dat file from the disc but gives me an error cyclic redundancy....

is there anything else that i can do to get that file off the disc...

If you get a CRC error the disk could have a mark on it? Try cleaning the CD and putting it in another CD-Rom drive if possible and try to get it that way?
