Help with Screensaver

I am having trouble getting screensavers to work in anything other than
preview. If I set it and click apply, it reverts to "None" as soon as I
close the window. Anyone with an idea on what the problem is?
 
on mine, after i click apply, have to wait a few moments
then i can click ok. and it works.
