Help with reboot and event viewer entries

Hi,

My XP Pro box has been rebooting every now and then without warning and
I have looked at the Event Viewer to find these entries. The first is
at the bottom.

It mentions AVG 9 Free a bit.

Any help please?

Transaction Internet Protocol (TIP) = 0,
XA Transactions = 0

The description for Event ID ( 1 ) in Source ( avg9emc ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry
information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote
computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this
description; see Help and Support for details. The following information
is part of the event: Service started.

Drop AVG, use Avira AntiVir.

Scan with MalwareBytes.

CHKDSK and then Defragment the drive.

Ensure Windows XP and all installed applications are fully updated.
