Hello -

I am trying to figure out a way of setting up a price list. I have a
list of items which are in a table called catalog. These items have
specific prices that were set when the contract was signed. When new
items are set up, I would like to be able to search in the catalog
table by the field QADNumber to determine if a price already exists in
the catalog. If it does not exist, I would like it to calculate a new
price and add it to the catalog table.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Your question leaves a lot unanswered issues:
1) Is there only one price per catalog item, or can
different contracts have different prices?
2) How could a "New" item possible have a price already in
the system?... It's NEW!
3) You want Access to "calculate" the new price.
Calculate it based on what?

You know what you're talking about, but we don't. Be
specific, BRIEFLY describe your relevant tables, RELEVANT
fields and what EXACTLY you're trying to do. Maybe then
you'll get a specific answer.
