Help with Powerpoint option in Visio

I have posted this in the "microsoft.public.visio.developer.diagrams" and
either I posted in the wrong group or no one is at home over there.

If any of you Gurus can help I would appreciate it.

I am attempting to make10 signs for our workplace each with a different
message but basically the same layout. We are in the process of
implementing Lean and are hoping for some good solid visual management that
will help the process be sustained.

I need to have them similar to a powerpoint slide with a fill-effect on the
color, a darker yellow at the top and fade to a white or no color a the
lower part of the drawing. They will be about 21" square with 300pt Font
text block.

Is fill effect possible with Visio? I have the signs pretty much there but
the
fading effect is not good.

I don't have visio loaded so can't try it. It's been a long time since I used
it in anger. Or jollity for that matter.

But can you create the filled shape in PPT then copy/paste to Visio?

Might be helpful also to try Edit, Paste Special and test the different
formats, if Visio permits this.
 
Exactly right with Visio. Good for what it was designed (I guess) but not
as user friendly and open to change as some Office Products.
