Is there a way to delete buttons or change their color after you have clicked
on them once in a presentation?

You can probably do what you want with Triggers (assuming you are using
PowerPoint 2002 or 2003). You could have a button click trigger that
button's own exit animation, or you could have it trigger a duplicate button
with a different color. If that doesn't work for you (or if you are using an
earlier version of PowerPoint), you can achieve exactly what you want with a
little VBA, but that is more difficult and only worth the effort if triggers
don't do the trick for you.

It sounds as if you are referring to hyperlinks created
within PPT. You can change the color of "clicked" links.
Explore "COLOR SCHEMES" in PPT. There are settings for the
three stages of a link (unclicked, click, after click).

Good point, Troy. I assumed the original note was talking about actual
buttons (drawn with autoshapes), but doing this with just text-based
hyperlinks would be really easy if that will work for the the original
writer's purposes.
