I'm using Outlook 2002 with XP pro and 2003 server. (no exchange server)
I'd like to customize the Outlook settings I'm currently doing manually on
each machine. These are:
Set shortcuts to small icons and add Outbox and Sent Items shortcuts;
In mail setup tab -set 'schedule an automatic send/receive' every 5 minutes;
Set tools-customize to 'always show full menus'.
I can't find settings in the outlck10.adm policy file for any of these.
Am I missing something or is there another way of doing this?

Office settings that you can manage with group policy objects include only those that are controlled by registry values. Most of the settings you list are not simple registry values and thus are not listed in the administrative template for Outlook.
Set shortcuts to small icons and add Outbox and Sent Items shortcuts;

The information in the Outlook 98 deployment kit explains how to deploy a custom set of shortcuts in the Outlook Bar. See http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/odk.htm
In mail setup tab -set 'schedule an automatic send/receive' every 5 minutes;

That's part of the send/receive settings, which are stored in an .srs file, the format of which is undocumented.
Set tools-customize to 'always show full menus'.

That's an Office setting, not an Outlook setting, and thus is found in the Office10.adm file. In the group policy editor, look under User Configuration / Administrative Templates / Tools | Customize Options / Always show full menus.

Thank you,
I've made the chnage to customize menus and I'll look into getting a copy
of the deployment kit - I'm just about to strat palnning a move to Office
2003, so I'll start with that version.

You don't need the deployment kit itself, just the documentation. It may take some hunting to find it on the MS web site.
