help with outlook 2003 receiving from gmail accounts

hi

i'm having a complete nightmare... hope someone can help as i've recently
gone freelance and have no it support..

i set up my trial of outlook to receive and send email from a gmail.com
account. it worked beautifully for 2 days but now has stopped sending or
receiving mail and in fact the messages i write just sit in my outbox then
have this message:


Task '(e-mail address removed) - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC78) :
'Cannot send the message. Verify the e-mail address in your account
properties. The server responded: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command
first. 10sm1382857eyd.27'

POP has been enabled on gmail and i even deleted and set up the account
manually on outlook this morning but although it sent about 2 emails, it has
stopped again now.

can anyone help???

Sounds like the account SSL settings aren't correct.
