Help with Media Player 10

If I were to have an album in MP3 format on my HD, and all tracks were listed
only by the track number, i.e 'track 1', 'track 2' etc, WMP 10 will
automatically recognise the files and tell me the artist and track name when
they are played (I assume by downloading the relevant information from the
Internet).

Is there any way of transferring this information that WMP 10 displays to
the MP3 files on my HD automatically or does it have to be done manually? I
have many files that are listed by track number only and this would save me
an incredible amount of time..

I don't use WMP so I can't say what it can do but, UltraTagger
http://www.ultratagger.com/ will do what you want. i.e. Identify album
tracks, ID3v1 ID3v2 tag them and rename the files to something more
meaningful.
