I install the software just fine and dandy. Ran into a
problem and was told by Linksys tech support to uninstall
the drivers. Cannot seem to get it to uninstall - it still
shows up in Control Panel/Add/Remove Programs. The driver
and application files have been deleted, so I cannot use
the uninstall that came with the driver. As a result I
cannot reinstall the adapter driver in order to try a
clean uninstall.

Regedit still shows the following keys:
LEGACY_NICSER_WPC54G and I cannot delete it.

Device Manager shows noting installed.

How do I get the app out of Add/Remove Programs so I can
reinstall the software? Why can't I remove the keys in the
registry? Any ideas?

If you have to tear out the key, you can run "regedt32"
and change the permissions on that key to allow
everyone full access. Then delete it the normal way.

You can hose a system by fooling with the hardware
enumeration, though that's not likely here. If that happens, you
can do an F8 last-known-good boot to recover.

Don't worry about add/remove programs, when you
reinstall that problem should take care of itself.
