To create new accounts go to Start\Control Panel\User Accounts\Create an
account\ name it for example; Gamer, follow the instructions in the program
to create the account. Then go to My Computer and right click it\select
Manage\Local users and groups\users\right click on the Gamer
"account"\select Set Password. also select your account and assign a
password to it to keep your account, profile folder and work related folders
private, and go to C:\Documents and Settings\your_account and right click on
it, and select Properties\Sharing\and check "Make this folder private"
If you are using the administrator account it's a good idea to create
another account with administrative privileges to which you can assign a
password and leave the administrator account without a password, it will be
automatically hidden under the logon screen and only the created accounts
will be visible. (The administrator account can be accessed with
ctrl+alt+del pressed simultaneously on the logon screen).
After you have created any account you need to logon with it for the profile
folder to be created, so logon with the "Gamer" account and log off
rightaway.
Next logon with your account and go to C:\ and create a new folder which you
can rename "Games", right click on it and select create short cut, select
and cut the newly created short cut and go into Documents and Settings >
"Gamer" (profile folder) > start menu > Programs > startup > right clic and
paste the short cut for the "Games" folder . (with this shortcut the "Gamer"
folder will open every time right after the "Gamer" account logs on. Inside
this folder you can add shortcuts to games or inside it so when anyone logs
in with the "Gamer" accout only they can see a folder with a list of games.
You can also remove access from the Gamer account to the WINDOWS folder to
add extra protection to the system files, for that read the KB308418 article
and learn how to set, view and change folder permissions. And to learn how
to protect important folders from snoopy hands read the 307874 article.
