Seems like I am not the only one to have this problem KB911895 will
not install. Did searches on this and all I got was a dozen sites
wanting you to download their products to fix the problem. Any one
have the same problem with this Kb on Windowsxp SP3? I just got a new
Windows7 PC which does not seem to have the problem (I think). Can not
even find out what updates it has downloaded?
email response not expected but to respond remove .uk at end
TIA

Try what Mark II suggests here:

In regards to Windows 7 -

Looked at the two URL's you posted. The sevenforums dropped me into a
large number of postings. I did spot one that suggested a file to
download. I did but it is kind of large and I hate to use items like
that without knowing more about them. The forums link had a couple of
posting that suggested deleting C:\windows\systems32\drivers and the
KB would install. Not much to lose here because it goes to recycle bin
anyway. Deleted the file and the KB911895 installed perfectly. Have
not seen any problems but will keep the wdf1000.sys for awhile.
