help with ie

i have a problem with ie

when i try to go to www.windows.com i get redirected to www.%20windows.com
can some one shed some light on this for me?

all so as soon as i have started windows i get a pop up saying "you or a
program has requsted to log on to the internet"

how can i disable it?
