In FrontPage, you create a FrontPage web site, or open one that already
exists. Then you publish the web site to the server.

Complex things are made up of
lots of simple things.

Once I figure out my cel background problem, I am also
having a hard time in the simplest of tasks....saving and
uploading. Sounds dumb, but a road block it has become.

I am no programmer but my current site was made by a
friend, all the files are saved as HTML files and I can
go into and revise these files using composer, then
simply save and click and drag into my FTP and viola!
updated website instantly.

I am having difficulty saving what I have designed in
FP2002...I figured out how to save it to re-open in the
program for further revisions if need be, but they won't
save as a HTML and The books I have don't go over this
process simply enough I guess.

....can anyone put this process in simple terms so it can
be as easy as what I am currently doing?

Thanks very much for any help!
Steve

again I apologize for my ignorance but I am kind of lost
with this program. I click "empty web" and then
everything's blank....do i then go to make a new page?

what I've done to this point has been to design a single
page....doesn't opening a "empty web" somewhat organize
files to be designed and filled later?

very simple questions for ya'll I'm sure but I do
appreciate all the help I can get.

Thanks
Steve

Create a folder on your HD first, then use FP's File Menu | Open Web and
browse to this folder, FP will indicated that it is converting the folder to
a web, once that is done, you can begin creating your web site.

Thereafter always use File Menu | Open Web to access your web to work on
your site and be sure to always import all images into your current open FP
web, after you have resized and optimize them in a image editor.

An empty web is a web with nothing in it. However, the FrontPage server
extensions are configured for the web. All you need to do after creating an
empty web is to create the pages in it.
