Hi,

I have made an excel workbook in excel 2000 and would like to distribute it
via my website.

The first question is will only people who have excel be able to view
it/alter it or is there a free program I could bundle with it to allow them
to use it?

I want people to be able to make calculaions with the spreadsheet but not to
alter the underlying formula's, how is it best to do this.

Is it possible to stop it being copied?

Any help suggestions much appreciated.

You can download a free viewer which will allow viewing and printing but not
alterations. So, I guess answer is: if you want them to make alterations,
they must have Excel.

Cells with formulas can be "locked" and the worksheet(s) protected so only
cells you wish altered can be altered.

No. Any file that is accessible can be copied. Unless of course, you can set
up Windows User Permissions to disallow copying. This would be a Windows
issue, not Excel.
Any help suggestions much appreciated.
