help with dual modem installation

I am trying to connect to my isp using two 56k modems but
my system will only dial one of them. The other modem
says that the port is already in use, but i thought i
checked and they are both on seperate ports? How can i
fix this problem?

Check with your ISP. Most do NOT support dual modems.

i have 2 isp's but my problem is that i can only get one

modem to work the other one wont even make a sound no
matter if i am connected or not... also i have no
conflict in my device manager and all the ports are
enabled and are working properly(it says)

Even if you did manage to connect both
to the same isp, with the same logon. Your
isp will most probably cut you off, for
trying to log on twice.
