Hi!
Ok I have been trawling the net for a third party application or a script to
do this for me without having to write a script myself ( and learn how to do
it at the same time! ).
I work for a web host and we currently have 4 DNS servers for all client
domains. Basically we cut our business down the middle and had business
customers setup on two of them and residential customers setup on the other
two. So in essence:
For our residential customers:
Ns0.residentialdns.com
Ns1.residentialdns.com
and business customers:
Ns0.businessdns.com
Ns1.businessdns.com
This helped us keep the domains seperated and gave a little order to the
chaos ;-)
However! Now we want to migrate all the domains onto just two of the DNS
servers. So I will be moving the dns files from the \system32\dns root on
the residential name servers and moving them onto the business ones.
What I need is a tool/script that will automatically re-create the zones on
the name servers for me. As about 4000 domains are being moved and doing it
manually would take up the rest of my life
Anyone got the answer for me?
Many thanks,
Oliver
