help with distribtuion lists

I wish to get assistance with setting up a personalised
distribution list

I know how to establish standard email distribtion lists
however this is not what I need

I need to address individual emails to eg: Dear Mary, Dear
John, etc..
so as it looks like I am personally writing to each contact

in anticipation

You can't use a distribution list for that without using third-party tools.
Use a mail merge of individual contact items instead.
