HELP WITH DESKTOP PROBLEM - too huge

When I start up my computer, everything is like huge and the taskbar at
the bottom won't show......you have to move your curser to the left in
order to go to the left side of the desktop screen and move it to the
right to go to the right....it's like the image is blown up or
something and all messed up. i can't even get it to go to 1024 x
whatever to make it smaller to where i can possible reset something. i
have tried several things and all have failed to fix the problem. what
can i do to stop this from doing this upon every start up. i can't
even do anything now........................

what is going on with this thing?

Okay, Right click on desktop and change your screen resolution to
something that you suits your needs, I use 1280x1024.

Now if you have an LCD monitor (TFT) Press the reset button on your
screen, Its not nessicary but, it should sharpen any squished and
squased pixels.

If your screen is still bigger than your screen go into your graphics
card control panel and set your desktop area to the same resolution.
(when using ATI catylist right click on toolbar icon, go to (craphics
card name) Primary> Set desktop area to... And set it to the same that
you put it in Desktop settings.

If that all fails, try using a smaller resolution.
