Help with Choose(SUMIF) Formula

I can't seem to enter all the data I want in this formula. I have
userform toggling the MonthNumber and have the sumif find the accoun
number (in a database download) and sum all relevant data. It work
fine on a month to month basis, but YTD numbers require too man
characters in the formula.

Any help would be very much appreciated

YTD formula:
=CHOOSE(MonthNumber,SUMIF(Acct,C9,Jan),SUMIF(Acct,C9,Feb)+SUMIF(Acct,C9,Jan),...
 
That certainly wouldn't be hard to do but I'm trying to automate an
simplify the process as much as possible so I can pass the report on t
others to manage. I found my solution, however.
I defined formula names for each month. SUMIF(Acct,C9,Jan) was define
as SIJan. I was able to fit all the characters that way...
