My homepage keeps changing to a "Global-finder" search
engine type page, or some other one that keeps messing up
my computer! Then when I try to find out what the problem
is, my computer will go to that dark blue screen with
the "beginning memory dump now" sort of screen that I can
never get out of. Could I have a virus? If so how do I go
about fixing it, or do I just have to reformat my
computer?

Hi Stefanie,

Global-Finder (CoolWebSearch spyware). This is a trojan/spyware that hijacks
Internet Explorer start and search settings to one of several different web
sites

Download CoolWebSearch destroyer from here:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip

And download Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com and update it. It eliminates
for any other spyware, if present in the system.
