Hey guys,

So here is my simple setup. I have two servers acting as domain controllers
in same domain. when i go to the server that i added to the domain as a
domain controller later and i run "netdiag /test:member" command utility from
the command prompt, i get the following output:

************************************************************
C:\>netdiag /test:member

Notice that the Domain Membership Test results in FAILED output. It
complains that the local machine has not replicated completely...

Can anyone see the reason for this error? the server has been up as an
additional domain controller in an existing domain for a while now. i would
have thought that the replication processes would have been done by now.

Any insight into this problem will be appriciated. Thank you guys in
advance...

How do you write it, because I can`t make this command work, take a look:

C:\>netdiag
'NETDIAG' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

C:\>netdiag /testmember
'NETDIAG' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

C:\>

The command is NETDIAG /TEST:TESTMEMBER (Note the colon)

First step: Check the DNS configuration. Are both the servers pointing at
the same DNS zone? Are they registering their SRV records appropriately?
How long have these computers been in the same domain? Can you determine
how long they have not been replicating with each other?

You might try resetting the server account by using NETDOM.

Dave,

I think that Thianog has to first install the Support Tools. Then, Thianog
should not receive that error.

Sorry that I spelled your name incorrectly. Looks like an 'n' slipped in
there.

I would suggest that you use the Support Tools from either the Service Pack
CD or from the download....
