Help with a nasty virus.

Here's what I know, hope some one can help me.

# 1 first thing I noticed, my anti virus could not update. (PANDA
7.0)

#2. then I see it disinfected a file that had "bck/optic pro"
#3. then Panda would not stay running.
#4 all FTP type programs shut down after 60 sec.
#5. task manger disabled.
#6. cmd prompt disabled



I did a on line scan at Panda, It found nothing.

I ran spybot, spy sweeper and TDS-3
they found nothing. There are no odd process's running. The typical
Registry changes from optic are there.

# 7. my box beeps every 4 minutes.

Hi Carpenter

When you've done all of steps 1-7 and still aren't virus-free, it's
officially time for hijackthis:

Hijackthis lets you see what processes are running in your system and
how they've entrenched themselves. Hijackthis requires expert help
which you can get in these forums:

Perhaps the "odd process" has renamed itself to explorer.exe or some
other legitimate filename.
