Help with a LAN

Im writing on behalf of my freind, who has a desktop PC
running windows 98 with music files on it, and wants to
open those files on his laptop running XP - he has them
connected by ethernet cable through a hub and he just cant
seem to get it to work.

Right click "My Network Places" and right click on the networ
connection listed (local ?) choose "Properties" and click th
"Advanced" tab. You will see an "Internet Connection Firewall" box tha
if on, is checked, if off is not checked

Alright his firewall is already off, so what do you do now?
