example cell b6 has $600,000. and I need cell b7 to equal $500,000. - $100,000. * 3.5% + $7,000. = $21,0000. Cell b6's total will change ie $1,000,000.00 but it will always be - $100,000.* 3.5% + $7,000.

Thanks

Good morning -

Reading through your message - I was a little confused.
This is what I origianlly thought you wanted to do:

A house that sells for 600,000
Subtract 100,000 then
Multiply the remainder (500,000) by .035 and add 7000.

If this is correct your commission would be 24500.

Your further comments indicate that you are subtracting 100,000 from 600,000 and then
with the formula subtracting 100,000 and then multiplying by .035 and then addin 7000.
Which gives you 21000.

Please clarify which one is correct and I will be glad to help you with the formula.
Thanks,
Jon Barchenger
