HELP! Windows explorer and ie problem

For the past couple days, my Windows 2000 Professional pc has been extremely
slow when trying to open either Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer. It
takes about 3 minutes before either application opens. Everything else on
the pc, such as office products or other programs is working normally. My
virus scan finds nothing, running Adaware finds nothing. Besides reintalling
Windows, what can be done about this?

Try this.
Move to firefox.
Or if you insist on loading ei get a copy of spybot and clean your system.
