Trying to enable the "General" tab that is displayed on the "Internet
Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties" dialog access from:

Start >
Settings >
Network Connections >
Local Area Network >
Properties >
Select "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and click properties

Anyone know where this may be in the registry?

I need to enable it for some of my users and by default a policy is
disabling it.

TIA,
SpLiT.

Hi,

Try running gpedit.msc, you might find what you need form there.

Many thanks, I found "Prohibit access to properties of components of a LAN
connection" which would seem to be it.

Hi again,

........."Prohibit access to properties of components of a LAN
connection"

Lucky you! I don't have a clue what that means, but I did once upon a
time screw things up by fooling around with gpedit and know there are a
lot of things in there to stumble with.
