help when shutting down win xp home

when i shut down it sometimes gives me this error

what does this meen and how do i fix it ?
 
This appears to be referencing a problem with your soundcard. Try
reinstalling the drivers for the card. If that doesn't resolve it, check
the card manufacturer's website for the latest drivers for the card.
