I have many installations of MS Word 97, 2000, & XP and I have not had this problem on any of the other 150+ installations, but I have 1 machine that behaves wierdly. The computer is a Windows XP SP1 with Office 2000 Small Business installed.
When opening an existing document or even beginning a new document, the cursor is not at the beginning of the document. No keyboard input is accepted other than basic Windows keys (alt-tab, Windows key, etc.). To start typing I must click in the document. I also noticed that I can not right click on the toolbars to bring up a different toolbar until I click on the document. I've looked over the options and compared with machines that have the same OS and Office package and see no differences.
Any ideas? Your help is appreciated.
