I just received a really nice email from a guy that located an old
freeware app that is on my site. Actually, all of the apps were
identified and suggested for archival here in ACF.
A lot of water has passed under the bridge, and I just cannot find the
time to keep the site updated properly.
I was hoping that one of you regulars might be interested in taking on
the chore of adding new apps. It's a shame for the site to sit there
and not to be updated on a regular basis.
The procedure:
Be on the lookout for last freeware versions.
Download, try it, make sure it's a good app.
Read the EULA and docs, and make certain that it can be archived.
Upload it, create an html description page.
Check links.
The content is the main thing. If the proper person is interested, the
whole site can be rewritten to something a bit more attractive than my
low tech html skills provided.
Note: I'm at [netscape.com] now, as [branded]
It's just an idea. I'd be mighty proud if a regular does have the time
and interest.
