I figured, while I waited for a response I could do the first part of your message and wait for clarification on the rest. And lo and behold I recieved this stupid warning.... Could not save movie. Verify that the original source files are still available, Verify Saving location still available Make sure there is enough disk space available and try again.
I verified the first 2. Nothing has moved or changed ( I had that happen midway through & had to redo 200 pics -- I didn't make that mistake again) The location I want to save is still there & empty ( have never added anything to that area before. and last but not least When I changed it to DV-AVI the estimated space needed was 14013.75 MB and the available hard drive space is 37.90 GB. So unless I am mistaken I should have plenty of space left. Sooooo frustrated. Thanks for letting me vent. Any suggestions now ?

Cool - sounds like a great gift
First, go to the file menu and "Save Movie" - save it out as a DV-AVI or a
a WMV
DV-AVI is the highest quality but also the files are HUGE - so be sure yo
have 13GB free space if your movie is an hour long vs 1 GB for an hour lon
WMV
Next - Run whatever DVD burning software came with your DVD player, an
import the AVI file (most newer ones take WMV too - but you never know unti
you check) (You probably have MyDVD or Ulead or Nero or something
Burn away
