Help w/Scanner needed

I have windows XP, but can not use my scanner and fax
now. Printer is functional, but don't know how to
install my scanner program.

HELP!!!!
 
As with any device, you first install the device driver and run the setup
program. These things should be supplied with your scanner. If not, download
them from the scanner manufacturer.

Disconnect/unplug scanner from PC. Go to

ControlPanel/Add or Remove programs to see if the scanner
program is listed and if it is, Uninstall it. Turn PC
off. Reboot PC. Plug scanner back in, if it is USB or
Serial, WinXP's Plug&Play feature should pick it up and
state "new hardware found" do you want to install it?
Click "yes" and it will ask you to insert the
installation disk or reboot and it will find it.
