Hi, Help please. I'm familiar with 2003, but am needing to quickly fix 2007
slide - in 2003 to change the elements of the background I went to Slide
Master. Now I go to slid master and I cannot select the background that is a
picture at the top and bottom of the slide. It will not allow me to select
it and delete it. I can hide it, but I want to remove it and replace it with
something similar but more current.
Thank you.

Thanks, I think that maybe the graphics came across as a theme and I need to
modify the theme, but I still haven't figured out how.

In addition to what Steve has mentioned, be aware that any slide
object (slide, Master, Layout) can have an image as it's 'Background'.
If this is the case, the image cannot be selected on the slide itself,
but has to be accessed from via 'Format Background' for that slide/
master.

You may have to check the slide, it's layout, or that layout's master
to find where the image is located, whether it's placed normally, or
set as the background.

As I described below.

It doesn't matter where or how the graphics got there, they'd still *have*
to be on
either the slide master or one of the layouts.

Unless they're not actually selectable because they were inserted using
Format Background | Fill | Picture or Texture.

But yes, you'd want to check the Slide Master, not the individual layouts.
