Greetings,

Here is my setup:

1 Abit KT7A-RAID mobo
2 40GB HDDs
2 CDROMs
1 80GB HDDs (new)

The KT7A-RAID mobo comes with onboard IDE RAID. I have that enabled and have Mirror-RAIDed my two 40GB HDDs. That takes up one of the four IDE channels on the board. The two CDROMs are plugged into IDE 3 with no problems. I would like to add a new hard drive as a separate storage device and not RAID it in anyway, just keep it as a stand-alone drive. But when i plug it in to the second RAID slot, i can't even fdisk it. And when i plug it into the last IDE slot (non-RAID), the RAID controller seems to still be controlling it.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
yt

Define the drive as a single span, (or stripe, but the span can be moved
to a different controller someday if desired, while the stripe(d) drives
can't.).

Go to Message/Word wrap...and enable it.

You're right that I /could/ enable it, but the wrapping is not usually
done on the receiving end, the vast majority of the time it is done by
sender(s)... if it weren't I'd not have noticed.
