I have RRAS configured on a 2000 server. It will be used for VPN
connections.
I have 2 NIC's installed on with private address and the other (that will be
used with the VPN) has an external IP address.
I don't have DHCP running and have it set up to give static IP addresses.
I am trying to connect to the vpn server with both and XP client (inside the
firewall) and a 98 client (outside our firewall).
I have the xp client inside our firewall. The NIC that is set up on the
server VPN connection is connected to our DMZ (all ports and protocols are
open).
For testing purposes I am trying to get the xp client, which is inside the
firewall to connect to the vpn client. After I enter my username and
password it finds the server and when I get the message of "verifying
username and password" it times out with a 721 The remote computer did not
respond.
If it makes any difference, I can connect with a VPN connection right on the
VPN server itself.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Paul
