Somehow the 'Sound' Icon on the 'Taskbar' vanishes after a few
minutes. I have to open the 'control panel', then open the
'Sounds and Audio Devices', then un-check and re-check the
'Place volume icon in the taskbar'. But the 'Sound' Icon
vanishes again after a few minutes. Is there any easy way to
fix this? Appreciate all the help.

Start-->Settings-->Taskbar and Start Menu-->Customize
Then change the Vol control from "hide when inactive" to "always show"

I have done that several times...... but after overnight it changes
and goes to hide again. Very frustrating. Any other solutions?
