I am making an animation in Movie Maker. I have made the video on one
computer, and then put in the narration on another which has a 'mic in'
socket. Each time I do this, I save it into one new Movie Maker Project. But
when I open the file up on my other computer, all I get is a series of red
crosses through each of the frames, and more randomly dotted through the
narration. I cannot then play the file on either computer. Why is this? I am
switching the files with a USB memory key, and have done a chkdsk on it. I
thought it may have something to do with the fact that I have privatised my
files, but I don't think so.
HELP!

I worked it out; why is it that when you get help for something you end up
doing it yourself? If anyone needs to know, I right clicked on the timeline,
selected Browse for missing file, and did it that way.

I just found this "help" section and had already figured that one out by
trial and error the same way. I just wish that I could have "solved" your
problem and finally looked like I was halfway knowledgable. Oh well.....
