Writing a tcp server and client program and NOD32 is not allowing my
application to run, blocking the tcp activity.

How do I allow NOD32 to allow my tcp application to run?

Thanks,
JT

Go to Network Security/Applications/Packet Filter and create a new rule to
allow this, in or out or both, according to your choice. Creating rules
this way is pretty intuitive, you'll get the hang of it in seconds, and
away you go. That should work, rules I've experimented with have done so.

I must be missing something here. When did NOD32 become a firewall
application as this other poster in the thread seems to be indicating?
Because if NOD32 has some kind of Application Control like a personal
FW, it's news to me.

IMON deals with TCP connections I think and if you're having problems
with NOD32, which I don't see how NOD32 could be stopping an application
from running, then you need to go to the IMON Setup/Advanced Tab for
Client and Server compatibility if anything.

I just don't see how NOD32 could be stopping your program from working.

Duane :)
