Hi Claire,
When you write "administrator account", do you mean the built-in Administrators
Account created by Windows when the Operating System was first installed?
When you write "it said it was corrupted", what is the exact error message?
Are you able to log on to the computer as a user in the Administrators Group - that
is, did you ever create another user with Administrative privileges?
Before the problem started did you log in using the account in question and create an
"Emergency Repair Disk", choosing the option to "Also back up the registry to the
repair directory"? Or, before the problem started, did you manually backup the
ntuser.dat file for the profile in question?
What file system are you using; for example, FAT32, or NTFS?

: Hi, I wonder if someone or anybody has helped you already
: with your problem. My laptop is experiencing the same. It
: has been a week ago since the last time I was able to log-
: in to my administrator setting where all my important
: files are saved. For some reason, like you, I don't know
: what happened, I cannot log-in to the administrator
: account setting where it said it was corrupted. I tried a
: few times to log-on but giving me the same message box and
: rerouting me to a temporary setting. I want my
: administrator account setting back as I have no back-up
: for most of the important files in there. Problem is, can
: I restore the current setting and all it's fall on my
: administrator log-on if I reinstall Windows 2000?
