Has anyone successfully upgraded to a better drive using mirroring software,
like Western Digitals utilites?

I erred... My wifes computer had a 10g drive running 98se.. I installed a
30g drive, installed XP, Office 2000 - all of her apps... spent days with
the install and all the updates.. never realized the 10g drive ran at 7200..
and the 30g runs at 5400.. I don't want to start all over.. I can kick
myself for not getting a new drive all together.. (I had the 30g laying
around...)

Dumb.. any advice?? thank you!

I used a hd utility prev. It was fairly successfull but I had to do a lot of
tidying up and reinstall of some apps.
This was some time ago, they may have since improved. Many people seem to
recommend using a specific app. eg Ghost.

I tried that last time.. no luck.. got error after error..seems it was XP's
copyright protection that kicked in.. after days of stress, I gave in,
reinstalled and all's been fine.. I'd like to avoid that, if at all
possible... hoping someone here can help!

You shouldn't have a problem with Ghost, providing done correctly, I would
have thought it was likely to be more efficient than a 'free' utility
