Hi, i wondered if you could help - my computer seems to be really playing up!
when i switch on it will not automatically launch windows. It goes to a screen which has a green design and the wording A7N8X-VM/400. This screen gives you the option to press del for setup.

I really don't know anything about computers so i wouldn't know what to do in set up.

I have managed to press F8 and start up in safe mode but this takes forever.

I have run Spybot and AntiVir once it hhas been up and running.

i don't really want to switch it off as i get the same problem everytime.

The computer normally launches itself with a few beeps, but even these are missing!

How can i get rid of this green screen? Is it advisable to leave the computer switched on standby for the rest of the week (i have some ebay auctions on the go)

Any advice greatly appreciated.

PS:The internet seems to be working fine on it.

Time to visit your "friendly" PC shop ... possibility you need to reset the BIOS, but you need to know how, battery may need replacing.

As the PC starts-up in safe mode & is usable then there ain't that much wrong ... at the moment.

Have you tried using system restore to return to a date when the computer wasn't playing silly beggars?
