Hi
[This is a sort of follow up to an earlier thread: http://tinyurl.com/2hcbxv
]
I've got a Philips SPC 520NC web cam, that only supports a real video
resolution of 640 x 480 (docs: http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/s/spc525nc_00/spc525nc_00_dfu_eng.pdf
). Unfortunately, on my PC the all programs (e.g. chat clients) that
use the web cam will only displays 160 x 120 resolution, which is
strange because I've got a WinXP SP2 system, an nVIDIA GeForce FX
5200 graphics card, 1Gb of RAM, and an Intel III Intel at 3.000GHz
processor -- fairly standard.
I've checked for USB 2.0 drivers and reinstalled other necessary
software, all to no avail. I'd appreciate suggestions trouble shooting
this issue. I'm wondering if this limitation is the result of an
incorrect/corrupt registry entry. I've installed the web cam on a
comparable system, and it works very well, with good resolution.
Thanks,
- Olumide
