HELP - system error

Please help.
I've just installed the Win2000Professional. However, system always display
error message like "svchost.exe has problem, will be closed by Windows. You
need to restart the program.." After that, all hyperlink on IE cannont
function.

Please help

Why are you posting here? This isn't a hardware issue - post to a Windows
2000 group.
 
you have a virus seems to be the consensus. Go to
the "microsoft.public.win2000.new_user" group
and find on svchost.exe for details.

Sounds like a virus to me. I'm not sure what "svchost.exe" is, but it
sounds familiar ... I think I saw it in a recent virus report. Mydoom
perhaps. Anyway, get a good virus checker.

svchost is a valid NT (XP) file, related to the services loaded.
Don't know what the solution is though, probably OS files missing or
corrupt.

I think Mydoom masquerades as svchost.exe or something. Either way, he
should check for viruses and possibly reinstall Windows if nothing comes
up in the search.
