My computer seems to crash a lot. I did not add anything, and when it
restarts, sometimes it will say that a device driver is the problem, but
don't know which one, or
"This error is currently being researched.". I could be just searching for
files and it reboots. I can't isolate it to any one thing that I do. Even
with a fresh install, soon after, I start having probles. Any advice???

Thanks

Bob,

Just a couple of ideas:

First, make sure it runs in DOS. To check this boot with
a floppy boot disk that you can make in XP or from an old
98 system.

If that works, then make sure you have the latest bios
for your motherboard.

The final step would be to install XP only on the
computer with support for just the internal drives, video
card, sound card (no external devices like
printers......etc) See if it runs ok. Then add software
OS updates.

If it is still running start loading your programs one by
one.
